30 noiembrie. Urata zi. Concert Alexandrina in Bucuresti si The Puppini Sisters in Timisoara. Primul la sarbatorirea a doi ani de existenta Byron, al doilea la Festivalul de Jazz. Nici unul pentru mine dintr-un singur motiv care ma tine in Iasi fara drept de apel...Cateodata nu sunt convins ca merita sa ratez atatea...

Iata cine sunt surorile Puppini: o italianca si doua englezoaice cu 2 albume de cabaret harmony/swing/jazz (acest stil care in Anglia zilelor noastre este egal cu succesul spontan) la activ; canta in majoritate preluari dupa slagare ale anilor '40 si au o minutios lucrata prestatie live ce buchiseste totul de la decoruri si costume la scenografie, coregrafie si interpretare vocala. Lucruri pe care le consider de maxim efect si valoare artistica.

Nu stati acasa in seara de 30, pentru ca nu stiti ce pierdeti. Asadar, Alexandrina in Bucuresti si The Puppini Sisters in Timisoara. Enjoy!

Tricky fiind insa un artist (foarte) important in seria celor care umplu cu trip-hop & stuff aceasta toamna-iarna bucuresteana, iata-l si pe bellamuzica. Apropos de anotimpul muzical actual, va reamintesc ca au trecut prin tarisoara asta in ultimele 2-3 luni : Leonard Cohen, Thievery Corporation, Roisin Murphy, Underworld, Nouvelle Vague, Koop, Mum sau De Phazz.
Semne de bine in viata culturala a romanului obosit si snob:) Sper ca anul viitor sa creasca relevanta acestor concerte asupra urechilor noastre, caci, cantitativ stam din in ce in ce mai bine intre tarile pentru care Bestfestul romanesc e doar o adunare de cartier.

Daca de I'm from Barcelona aflasem recent, de Architecture stiu de ceva timp si de tot atat in urma imi par extrem de originali si de interesanti. Dupa modelul aproape general al trupelor cu toponime in denumire, nici Architecture in Helsinki nu sunt din Finlanda, ci tocmai din insorita Australie. Fac un pop de tip suedez daca ma intrebati pe mine, si tot suedez daca nu...

Un proiect initiat de Emanuel Ludgren, care a adunat sub culorile numelui trupei nu mai putin de 30 de membri. Va veti da seama, atat instrumental cat si vocal de ce a fost nevoie de atatia oameni si cat de plin suna..deopotriva comercial si ciudat, in stil Architecture in Helsinki, despre care va voi vorbi cat de curand.

Oi Va Voi este un nume pe cat de interesant pe atat de insemnat in zona muzicii alternative de sorginte folclorica. Balcanii si orientul apropiat ofera in continuare inspiratie aleasa artistilor cu inclinatie spre influente world music.
Oi va voi este un caz paradoxal, trupa aparand si facandu-se cunoscuta in Marea Britanie, departe de locurile a caror arta le-a influentat creatia. Mentionez ca vocalista trupei este (aici, caci a parasit proiectul) KT Tunstall, o artista care se afla in sertarul meu de voci feminine preferate.
